Exclusive Joanna MacGregor recital on Thursday 29 January
In the run up to the Bath International Music Festival 2009, we have organised an exclusive event with Artistic Director Joanna MacGregor. Taking place at Kingswood School theatre on Thursday 29 January, this lecture and recital promises to be an exciting opportunity to hear Joanna discuss her love of American music, and the influence of jazz and blues on composers as diverse as George Gershwin and Samuel Barber. Arrive at Kingswood School for 7:30pm for drinks and a chance to socialise before the concert starts at 8:30pm.
This event is free for Friends of the Music Fest who have renewed their membership for 2009. For non-Friends tickets will cost £10, although this will be refunded if attendees decide to sign up for membership on the night. So for those of you thinking of becoming Festival Frriends, there has never been a better time to sign up!
